How to download from Instagram
Open the Instagram post or Reel, tap Share and copy its link. Paste the link above and select Download. Preview the available media, then use the download button beneath each photo or video.
Photos, carousels, Stories and Highlights
An Instagram carousel can contain several photos and videos. Open its downloads to see the available items in order. A public profile link also gives you Posts, Reels, Stories and Highlights tabs. Stories must still be active; Highlights may contain older Stories saved by the creator.
Choose a photo or video from an Instagram carousel
A carousel link opens the available collection in its original order, even when the copied URL contains img_index=2. Look for the numbered preview and download button for the item you want. A mixed carousel can contain both photos and videos; download each item separately.
Find an Instagram download on your phone
After selecting a file, follow your browser’s save prompt. On iPhone, check Safari’s download list or the Downloads folder in Files; your browser settings determine the location. On Android, check your browser’s Downloads list. Previewing a file does not mean it has been saved.
When an Instagram download is unavailable
Private accounts and Close Friends content are unsupported. Removed posts, expired Stories and Instagram request limits can prevent retrieval. Profile paging and profile Reels browsing are still being improved; an individual post link may work when a profile section does not.
